Get serial number from computer and update Description

Good morning, I need to get the serial number of PC and update the description with the value result. I tried with %serialNumber% but the is empty. Can u help me? thanks, Simone

Hello Simone,

The approach you are using is correct for a custom command, business rule or scheduled task configured for the Computer object type. However, as per our check, the serialNumber property is not populated in AD automatically. It can only be retrieved using a script.
