Hi team,

hope you are doing well : )

I looking for a solution to edit multiple users and set attributes based on input.

Let me explain:

  • Helpdesk needs to select one or multiple users.
  • For each user three values needs to be defined
    • 1: Dropdown yes or no
    • 2: User selection, only one value allowed
    • 3: User selection, multiple values allowed
  • These values needs to be stored in either a text string and added to description or several custom attributes.

Is this somehow possible?

Hello,

If the values are going to be the same for all the selected users, it is possible. For example, you can use a custom command with the corresponding parameters. For details on creating custom commands, have a look at the following tutorial: https://www.adaxes.com/help/CreateCustomCommand. To execute the command, you will need to create a Web interface action with multiple selection for target object allowed. The following tutorial will be helpful: https://www.adaxes.com/help/ConfigureActionsPane.

Hello,

If the values are going to be the same for all the selected users, it is possible.

Values are not the same for each user.

Some more details:

  1. I have a web interface action to select multiple users from AD
  2. Now each user should be looped in next step
  3. For each user I want to set new values and select others users from AD (to specify mail access or forwarding)
  4. These selected values needs to be stored in each individually user object

Hello,

Thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately, there is no such possibility. However, thank you for the suggestion. We forwarded it to the corresponding department for consideration.

Thanks! : )

So for now I can set up this webform only for one user, no bulk update.

And I could use a csv file with information stored and read it from a shared drive to set values based on input.

I will check and find some workaround for now.
