Hi all,
How can I add a user directly to an Entra ID group?
I understand it might be possible via CLI e.g. Add-AzureADGroupMember - But is there a built-in GUI method via Business Rules?
Thanks,
David
Hello David,
In Adaxes 2023 and later, you can register your Microsoft Entra ID domain in Adaxes the same way you do for on-premises AD domains. As a result, you can use the same bult-in functionality for cloud groups and users. For details on how to register a domain in Adaxes, see https://www.adaxes.com/help/RegisterUnregisterManagedDomain. For a Microsoft Entra domain, select Cloud domain on step 5.
For information on how to check your version of Adaxes, see https://www.adaxes.com/help/CheckServiceVersion.
I'm currently writing an "After User Creation" rule and I have a PowerShell script that adds the newly created, on-premises synced user to a handful of cloud ... powershell cmdlet that fails. I need to use PowerShell for the additional condtional flexibility.
is this available yet, will it be available at all. any news on an update for Adaxes, the last one was over a year ago.
We would like the membership in a distribution group to be based on a particular M365 license a user has (for example, Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 (SKU part number ... the group. Is there way to do that by making it a rule-based group?
I want to be able refresh members (delete all members in the group) each time and replace with a new resultset each time the report is generated.
I have tried it using the Custom Commands Action "Add the user to a group", which only allows me to add the user to one group at a time, and can't use the multiple DNs that the ... I can't get it to work. Could you assist me in finding the best way to do this?
