Hi

I have a colleague who claims, that objectCategory and/or objectClass should be included in LDAP searches, to reduce load on the domain controller. It sound reasonable, but I have no idea if it's true.

The guide (http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_WebInte ... ctions.htm) seems a little ambiguous on this issue.

Is it nessacary to include fx. objectCategory (and/or objectClass) to narrow the search - or is this build into the code behind the Home Page Action ?

Hello,

A correct filter for the required object category is already a part of the Home Page Actions engine. When you specify your own LDAP filter, the Web Interface merges it with the default one, and does it in a smart way to make the query optimal.
