When trying to delete exchange online based room or equipment mailboxes, we get the error message "the requested operation is not supported by this version of the directory service."

I actually can't tell if this has ever worked, but I presume I or someone must have tried deleting room or equipment mailboxes before. Our instance of Adaxes is just a few months old.

I'm doing this as a full Adaxes admin, on 3 different servers, on the desktop client as well as the web client, with Exchange Online based room and equipment mailboxes, while deleting shared and user mailboxes works fine. Deleting rooms and equipment mailboxes through native Exchange Online Admin center works ok, too.

The error message looks like this: image.png

These are the server versions: image.png

Not sure what else to check and can't find any info about that specific error message / wording.

Hello Felix,

For troubleshooting purposes, please, provide the steps you perform to delete a room or equipment mailbox with screenshots. You can post the screenshots here or send to us at support@adaxes.com.

Also, please, enable tracing of requests sent to Exchange servers, reproduce the issue and send us (support@adaxes.com) the log file. For information on how to enable the tracing, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/EnableExchangeRequestLogging.

Hello Felix,

Thank you for the provided details. The behavior is by design as previously there was no possibility to delete resource mailboxes over the API. As the feature is available now, we will add it to one of the future releases of Adaxes.
