Question - As we're heading into the final (already) quarter of 2014, I've started to wonder what the next release of ADAXES will look like and specifically what features you all are looking to include.

In particular, I have seen in the forums a method through which to create a conference room involving a Powershell script but I wanted to know if enabling this feature was on your roadmap. In other words, before I go through the process of customizing the powershell script, I'm wondering if in the next revision (a few months out) this would be available out of the box. If so, I'll just wait :)

Thanks!

Hello,

The next major version will be focused around 2 major features: the new Web interface and new Reports.

The Web Interface will be completely re-done. It will have a new look, feel, and it will work faster. The new engine that we are developing for the new Web Interface is opening new possibilities for us, so many new features will be added to the Web Interface as well.

The Reports subsystem will also be re-done almost from scratch. We'll add the possibility to build custom reports (without the need for any PowerShell scripting), to schedule reports and to send reports by e-mail.

Since both the features require deep changes in the Adaxes code, we are most probably not going to make any more major features for the next release, so, most probably, we won't add support for room mailboxes.

Also, tit'll take us about 6 months or so to complete the release, so it's definitely not going to be Adaxes 2014.2. It will be Adaxes 2015.1 somewhere in the first half of 2015.

In particular, I have seen in the forums a method through which to create a conference room involving a Powershell script but I wanted to know if enabling this feature was on your roadmap.

We have a request to support room and shared mailboxes in our Product Backlog, but it is not planned for the nearest future.

IS there any update on the time frame for this or a beta/alpha version of 2015.1? We're looking at relaunching our portal and it would be helpful to be able to see the new web GUI prior to relaunching. We're struggling with the question "Do we relaunch with 2014.1 and then introduce the new GUI or wait and relaunch with the new GUI?"

Thanks

Hello,

We are targeting for Q3 2015 with the release of Adaxes 2015.1, however the time term is not fixed yet. As for alpha or beta versions, we don't have any test versions released yet, because there is not much you can test at the moment. Currently, we are working on the new Web Interface engine and new features for Adaxes service, but we haven't done any significant changes in the GUI yet.

We use business rules to automatically create mailboxes for new identities. Is it possible to configure Adaxes to automatically disable mailbox features after a new mailbox is created? For example, we need to disable Outlook Web Access for some users.
