Can you help us understand how the password expiration is sourced, is it calculated by Adaxes or just displayed based on an AD attribute?
We have some users that apparently do not have the correct values for password expiration displayed in Adaxes. We need to figure out why.
In the Web Interface Customization screen I see the field "Password Expiration Date" but we don't know how that is populated.

Hello,

Password expiration date is a value calculated based on the following rules:

  • If a user has the User must change password at next logon option set in Account Options, the value for Password Expiration Date is No expiry (must be changed).
  • If a user has the Password never expires option set in Account Options, the value for Password Expiration Date is Never expires.
  • If none of the above 2 options are set, the value for Password Expiration Date is calculated based on the current date, the value of the Password Last Set (pwdLastSet) attribute of the user account and the Maximum password age setting of the Password Policy applied to the user. For information on how to view the Password Policy applied to a user, see the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?HowDoI.Mana ... rUser.html.
