When creating custom commands you have to select the object type. What is the object type for a Business Unit?
It doesn't seem to be OU or Container as I can not select the objects to execute my script against.
I've been searching the site and can not find this detail.
Hello,
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to execute custom commands on configuration objects.
For us to suggest you a solution, please, describe the desired workflow in all the possible details with live examples.
I'm using a script to sync a business units members with a cloud based DL since Adaxes does not support cloud only objects yet.
What I would like to do is have a script pickup any new Business Units created in a specific container and create an Office365 group based on that new container.
Thank you for the clarification. Do we understand correctly that you need to not only synchronize business unit membership to Microsoft 365 but also create online distribution lists (DLs) for business units located in a specific container if the groups do not exist? If we do, using rule-based groups instead of business units should meet your needs. The groups will be created in on-premises Active Directory and synchronized to Microsoft 365 by means of AAD Connect. If it does not meet your needs, it might be possible by updating your PowerShell script. With this approach, a mapping of business units to online groups is impossible due to the requirement to create new groups. Please, clarify how the corresponding DL names should be determined (e.g. from the business unit properties). If there is a necessity to synchronize a single business unit to multiple DLs, clarify whether names of the corresponding groups can be determined via a template. Live examples and any additional information will be much appreciated.
I would like to add the following logic into a Powershell script that will be triggered on 'After Create User'. Read the value of the 'title' property of the user just created ... 'True' or 'False'. Could you assist with how to script this please? Many thanks.
Hi Is it possible to get a business rule which calls a custom command powershell script to wait for the script to complete before continuing? Thanks Matt
Hello, We recently applied the 2023 upgrade following the backup / uninstall / install / restore procedure and we faced an issue: UUIDs for Business Units changed, which ... upgrade Adaxes in the future that does not delete and recreate Business Units? Cheers
Hi I know this isn't currently possible, but is the ability to use Adaxes custom attributes in a Business Unit Criteria something you are looking into? It would make the business units far more powerful and usable than they currently are. Thanks Matt
We would like to have a business unit that is based on an adaxes custom attribute. I don't see a way of doing this. Do you all have any ideas?
