My company is having 3 types of employess agents, employee and contractors. while user creation in adaxes i want to keep Manager, department and job title mandatory and I can keep in property patten. But employee and contractor will have manager, department and there will be no manager and jobtitle, and department for agent. While creating a user if it is agent I can't create the user because i kept mandatory for manager and department.

Hello,

Property patterns only work upon user creation if assigned over domains, OUs and containers. If you have different types of users created in different OUs, you need to create a separate property pattern for each OU. The following tutorial (section Different Patterns for Different Users) should be helpful: https://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_SimplifyingDataEntry_MakePropertyRequiredAndSpecifyFormat.htm.

If the users can all reside in the same location, you can keep the required option enabled for the properties that are mandatory for all types of users. Alongside, use a business rule triggering Before creating a user that will cancel the operation if an agent is created without a manager. For example, if the user type is stored in the Employee Type property, the rule will look like the following: image.png

Adaxes really needs this i.e. "Here's this list of 20 users can you add them to the Marketing group" - right now you have to do them one at a time which is a real kludge. I ... there's any timescale please? We're on 2013.2 if I'm just not seeing it. Thanks :)
