Is there a way to present different pages when users view their own properties, and if they view other users properties in the Self Service portal?

We have certain custom fields like "Personal Email Address" that we want users to be able to modify, but don't want visible to other users.

I already created a Security Role so other users can't see the fields, but I would rather the whole section not shown if possible.

Hello,

For this purpose, you can create actions available on Adaxes Home Page that allow users to view and edit their own properties. In the actions, you can use customized forms and views with a different set of fields.

View Own Properties
To create an action that allows users to view their own properties:

  1. Start the Web Interface Customization tool.
  2. In the Interface type drop-down list, select the Web Interface you want to configure.
  3. On the General tab, click Configure Home Page Actions.
  4. On the Home Page Actions dialog box, click Add.
  5. On step 1 of the Add Home Page Action wizard, select View, and then select User in the associated drop-down list.
  6. On step 3 of the wizard, select the Always view properties of the currently logged on user option.
  7. On step 4, select Use customized view and select Customize View to configure the view that will be used for the action. For information on how to customize the view, see the following tutorial, starting from step 6: http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_WebInte ... tomization.
  8. When done, click Finish.

Edit Own Properties
To create an action that allows users to edit their own properties:

  1. Click the Add button on the Home Page Actions dialog box again.
  2. On step 1 of the Add Home Page Action wizard, select Modify, and then select User in the associated drop-down list.
  3. On step 3, select the Always perform for the current user.
  4. On step 4, select Use customized form and select Customize Form to configure the view that will be used for the action. For information on how to customize the view, see the following tutorial, starting from step 6: http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_WebInte ... tomization.
  5. When done, click Finish.
