Hi all,

I'm currently developing a custom command to allow admins to relocate user across different AD domains.
To clarify the context, we have an AD forest with 3 child domains. Regularly, we need to move users form their original domain to another.
We do that manually through movetree tool.
Thanks to Adaxes, most of our tasks are now automatized. Except this.
So I started to script and bundle that into a Custom Command.

But I was wondering if you do not already have a script to do that ? Or a built'in method I would not have seen ?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi all,
I allow myself to dig up this subject. Do you have any idea on how to do it in a smart way ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Have a look at the following tutorial: http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_Automat ... rsToOU.htm.

Thank you for the quick answer.
I had a look on tutorial provided but I don't think it could help. We already set business rule to relocate users within same domain.
The fact is, move user from domain A to domain B is a bit more tricky. I'ts quite like a migration

Hello,

This approach will work fine as you have all the domains in one forest.

seting up a scheduled task to move users to thier correct OU. For some we can do this based on employee type and direct to a specific OU. For most of our users we will have to script this to move to the manager's OU.
