I have a Cloud managed domain configured in adaxes. I want to give access on the helpdesk portal to a user from this cloud domain, as I usually do with a AD user. Is it possible ? When I try to do it, I get a "username and password doesn't match" on the login page.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is currently no possibility for cloud accounts to log in into Adaxes. The behavior is by design. The feature is planned for future releases of Adaxes.

Do you know the roadmap ?

And as a bypass, can I setup a dedicated a portal for this tenant and configure a SAML login with EntraID ? Does the right configured in Adaxes admin console will be matched ?

Hello,

Do you know the roadmap ?

You can check the roadmap on our site: https://www.adaxes.com/info_roadmap.htm.

Unfortunately, there is currently no ETA for the particular feature availability.

And as a bypass, can I setup a dedicated a portal for this tenant and configure a SAML login with EntraID ?

Sure, you can create as many Web interfaces as you want each having its own settings including those for sign in.

Does the right configured in Adaxes admin console will be matched ?

What exactly do you mean?

I mean, My permission are set here by chosing cloud account trustee : image.png If my authentication source is the SAML azureAD. How the users rights are matched ? Does my cloud account set as trustee in the security role will be seen as the same account that connect through SAML ?

Hello,

You will still log in as the on-premises AD account. As such, the permissions granted to the account by Adaxes security roles will apply.

does it means with SAML SSO also we cannot allow cloud users to access web pages?

Hello,

Yes, that is correct. As of now, there is no possibility at all for a cloud user to sign in to Adaxes no matter of the authentication methods you configure.

seems login with cloud user account feature not listed in your roadmap list.

Hello,

Yes, that is correct. However, it is still in our TODO list for future releases.

Currently, when I disable a user account in Adaxes, the group memberships of the user remain intact. I'd like to automate the removal of group memberships such as distribution ... a list of groups/DL that the user was previously in and removed from. Thanks!

usually we have to set up users account with access to many share mailbox. However, the time consuption adding those emails one by one it is too much as we needs to sep up many users in one day and that task can take from 10 minutes to an hour.

Using this built in function: There is no option to change the domain on the user account, however this is not the domain we use for UPN. However after creating a user, you can change it but trying to avoid going back into the object.
