Hi Everyone

We have 3 Adaxes services set up around the globe and followed the MS SQL replication how-to (https://www.adaxes.com/help/EnableDatabaseReplication/) to then realize that we don't know how to tell each Adaxes server to use their local MS SQL server. When updating the SQL server information in the Logs settings, it always changes it for all the Adaxes servers, so you can only point all of them at the same SQL server. How can you set each Adaxes server to use their local SQL server and make use of the SQL replication setup?

Thanks, Felix

Hello Felix,

The behavior is by design and cannot be changed. The logging settings are replicated and thus all the Adaxes services will always use the same MS SQL server.

Thank you

What's the idea behind setting up SQL replication then, if the subscriber DB is not being used?

Hello Felix,

It is about failover. This way you have multiple databases storing the logs and replicating among each other. This way if one of the MS SQL servers goes out for any reason, you do not lose the logs.
