We noticed when renaming a user or changing the UPN it does not update in office365. I can change the username field by usign the following command from azure powershell module.

Set-MsolUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName mary.osgood@contoso.onmicrosoft.com -NewUserPrincipalName mary.smith@contoso.com

What is a good way to make this a seamless task for our helpdesk? Can adaxes do this natively without a powershell script?

Hello,

Adaxes does not synchronize such changes, it is done by DirSync. After you make a change in in Active Directory, you need to wait for DirSync to run and then see whether the changes are applied in Office 365.

If the changes are still not synchronized, specify what exactly you change. Do we understand correctly, that you have the issue describe in the following article by Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... l-after-yo? If so, then you will need to use a PowerShell script. In Adaxes, you can automate execution of the script using a Business Rule. For us to help you with the solution, specify the version of Adaxes are you currently using. To check that:

  1. Launch Adaxes Administration Console.
  2. In the Console Tree, right-click your service.
  3. In the context menu, click Properties.
  4. Adaxes version will be displayed on the General tab.
