Is it possible for the email notification action to display a friendly name instead of email address from Softerra Adaxes Service?

I'm using the built-in send email action. Would using a powershell method change this behavior?

Hello,

Could you, please, clarify what exactly do you mean by display name? If you want to change the display name of the action itself, you can use the Assign custom description to the action option.

If that is not what you need, please, provide us with all the possible details regarding the desired behavior. Screenshots would be very helpful. You can post them here or send to our support email (support[at]adaxes.com).

In Gmail inbox, the display name is the partial email address instead of the account name. We're using GMail SMTP.

Hello,

Thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately, there is no such possibility. This is just how your inbox displays messages and the behavior does not depend on Adaxes.

Hello,

A new version of Adaxes that allows specifying a display name for the From address of service mail settings was released. You can download it here.
