Hello,

Is Adaxes able to work in an Office 365 scenario? If yes Under what constraint (hybrid, ...)?

If we decide move to Exchange Online would it still be possible for Adaxes to manage those mailboxes?

Thank you,

Hello,

When developing Adaxes 2013.1, we didn't plan to include support for Office 365 mailboxes. Currently, we are investigating the possibility of supporting Exchange features of Office 365 in Adaxes in an Exchnage Hybrid Environment. Approximately in a month we will be releasing a minor update with enhancements for Adaxes 2013.1, and, if everything goes well and that doesn't involve considerable time costs for implementation, we'll include the support for Office 365 mailboxes in the minor release.

Thanks for this answer, it was very helpful

Not sure if this is still relevant, but we are using Adaxes to manage office 365 users.

We are however using powershell scripts for this, but office 365 has alot of features designed for powershell communication.

For example, connecting to the office 365 service with powershell:

If interested i could help out with some more links and scripts/setup that we are using. :)

Is there any update on managing Exchange Online through Adaxes? This is potentially a crucial item for us in the very near future.

Hello,

We are currently investigating the possibility of integrating Exchange Online with Adaxes. As soon as we get a more or less definite plan as to how much it will take and as to when we are going to implement the feature, we'll update this topic.

Hello Pierre,

We are looking into possibility of providing Office 365 support. Can you describe your requirements in more detail?

Perhaps Cloud services could be modular. I would like to see Google Apps management in Adaxes. To be able to bind the users AD and Google Apps information in Adaxes' ADLDS that will allow us to have forms and processes that not only give us information about their AD account, but their Google account. If this was modular, then we could buy the Google Apps module from Adaxes that will configure a Google Apps schema in the Adaxes' ADLDS. In turn, there could be modules for Office 365 and other cloud based services.

Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion, but we are not planning to sell Adaxes in modules. As for Google Apps, we'll think on that, thank you.

I can tell you what we would want...

Everything we can do with Exchange 2013 On Premise.

Creating / deleting users, DL's, Contacts etc
changing all exchange properties
enabling/disabling protocols and changing policies.

Basically everything that version 2013.1 added for Exchange support we need extended to Exchange Online.

Hello,

Thanks for the info. Here is our vision:

  • Office 365 account will be created automatically for a local AD user when a mailbox is created for the user, or when the user is enabled for Lync (if the selected mailbox database or Lync pool is located in the cloud, Adaxes will create a mailbox or Lync account in Office 365).
  • When a user has a mailbox in Office 365, Adaxes will allow you to manage the mailbox just as if it was in Exchange on premises (transparently).

What do you think about it?

Hi

How's this work going? Have you released a update to 2013.1 to support O365?

0

Hello,

We investigated the topic and found that it requires more work than we thought initially. We decided to dedicate a separate release to Office 365.

In September, we are going to release Adaxes 2013.2 mainly dedicated to logging enhancements. In about two months after that we are going to release Adaxes 2013.3 that will be dedicated to Office 365 support in Adaxes.

Any update on this topic and the next release?

0

Hello,

Adaxes 2014.1 will support Office 365. It will be available by the beginning of March.

0

When will the new version be released?

0

Hello,

We had to shift the release to early April.

Hello,

Adaxes 2014.1 is finally available! Starting from this version, Adaxes lets you create Office 365 users, assign and revoke licenses, enable or disable user access to Office 365 services, manage Office 365 mailboxes and delegate Office 365 management tasks. Any of the tasks can be automated. We support both pure cloud and hybrid deployment scenarios.
