Web Interface initial Load slow

Question

I am noticing both with 2013.1 and 2013.2 that inital page load for each app is very sluggish, however subsiquent loads are awesome...I have seen a few posts in the back and enabled tracing...getting a range of response (4-7 seconds from the same subnet)...Looked into IIS Warmup Extention as I suspect the app pool is the root but not sure

thoughts on IIS Performance tuning for IIS 7.5??

Hello,

The initial load requires a lot of time time to complete because IIS needs to recompile the Web Application for the Web Interface. This can take even longer if it is the first load after you've installed or upgraded Adaxes. when IIS needs to compile everything from scratch.

I sorta did a cardnal sin by IIS folks...I created a seperate App Pool and told it never to recycle unless system is reboot, vice the default 1740 sec...

Actually, this means only that the Application Pool will never be unloaded from the computer the memory. In any case, this will not influence anyway the time required for the initial load. The thing is that when you start the computer where the Web Interface is installed and access it, IIS needs to compile the web application for the Web Interface type and load it to the memory. This always takes time. It is a common issue with IIS applications.
