So we are trying to move a user object from a disabled users OU in a parent domain to a child domain in the same forest.

I'm getting the following Error:

The requested operation could not be performed because the directory service is not the master for that type of operation.

Is there an additional log or error message that I should be able to locate that gives me additional information on why this is failing?

The reference domain for the Server in the error is the parent domain where the user is being moved FROM.

Thanks

Hello,

It is a bug in Adaxes, thank you for the bugreport! The thing is tht Adaxes selects an incorrect Domain Controller for cross-domain moves. Cross-domain moves must always be performed on the RID master, but Adaxes doesn't always select the RID master for this operation. We'll fix the issue in our next version to be available by the beginning of February.

Hello,

The issue has been fixed in Adaxes 2014.1. Starting from this version, Adaxes correctly selects a domain controller for cross-domain moves. You can find the latest build here.

Hi All, I have been attempting to create a backup of our Adaxes setup so I can upgrade to 2020.1. When running the backup exe either from command line or gui I hit ... 2015/ReleaseNotes.htm but that suggests to add it in group policy which it is. Any ideas?

User is trying to amend the account expiry date on another user account. User has done this many times in the past - only difference is this is a new OU. Adaxes service account has the necessary permissions to the OU so I can't see why this is happening
