Given Scenario:

  1. Adaxes domain user is remote with his laptop and has adaxes self service client installed on Windows and is enrolled for self service via Adaxes.

  2. We have turned on the option of updating the Cache credentials when password is updated/reset under Windows integration global settings for Adaxes Self Service in Adaxes Admin Portal.

  3. Cached credentials are successfully updated when a user use the Reset Password option from the lock screen of the laptop screen.

Now Question is:

Will the cache credentials also get updated if a user changes the domain password via going to the web interface of adaxes self service while user is logged in to the laptop using a web browser ? OR Will cached credentials will only get updated when a user initiates password reset/change password from the lock screen ?

Hello,

Will the cache credentials also get updated if a user changes the domain password via going to the web interface of adaxes self service while user is logged in to the laptop using a web browser?

If the computer is not connected to Active Directory, the credentials cache will not be updated.

Will cached credentials will only get updated when a user initiates password reset/change password from the lock screen ?

Yes, that is correct for cases when the computer is not connected to Active Directory.

We currently have a form for HR to deal with ex-employees that are hired once more, but it's not much more than automatic emails sent to IT. If I add some actions ... this trigger the business rule we have that targets "After updating a user" ? Thanks, Louis
