Hello,

I've been reviewing the password policies option within Adaxes. I'm curious if there are any additional filters we can apply as complexity rules?

(i.e. Password cannot be a certain word or in general cannot be found in a simple dictionary check.)

We'd like to leverage Adaxes for this sort of functionality before looking to another vendor to provide a similar functionality.

Hello,

in Adaxes, you can achieve this with the help of a Business Rule triggered before creating a user, and a Powerhell script. In our Script Repository, you can find a script that can be used to check whether a password meets the standard complexity requirements applied in AD: Verify complexity requirements for user password. As you can see from the script, all the checks are performed using regular expressions. You can add your own regular expressions to the script to add additional checks.

We use a third party tool to enforce stronger password policy than what AD allows. Is there a way to change the text on password change windows to reflect this?

This may be a dumb question, but If a user is enrolled in the Self Service password reset under a policy applied to a specific OU, what happens when the user is moved ... policy? Are they prevented from using the service at all or simply not allowed to enroll?
