We have an alert that we are over our license quota for users. Our thought process is to add all deprovisioned users to the "unmanaged users group" to have them not count against our active user count. We would like to know if we include the deprovisioned users in the "Unmanaged Users Group" will our scripts still look at the accounts for provisioning purposes and not duplicate accounts?

Hello,

All the accounts added to the Unmanaged Accounts list are not displayed in Adaxes environment and will not be affected by any scripts or tasks performed in it. For information on how to add user accounts to the Unmanaged Accounts list, have a look at the Using a Scheduled Task and a script section of the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/HowDoI.Manag ... ounts.html.

We are currently adding several accounts to the unmanaged per that task. Our question is how do we keep our active number down versus the deprovisioned users.

I guess the question is what is the definition (for license purposes) of an active user and deprovisioned user.

Hello,

The Adaxes license is issued for the number of enabled and not expired user accounts in all Active Directory domains managed by Adaxes. If you disable users during deprovision, they are not included into the license count. Adding disabled user accounts to the Unmanaged Accounts list will not reduce the number of licensed users.

Excellent thank you that is what I understood previously. I need to dig in then and find out why our numbers are off between ACTIVE users in Adaxes and AD. we have under 10000 between the two domains but we received email alerts stating we have 12238 user accounts and 1581 inactive user accounts.
