Whilst the Web UI's Custom Forms and Views for each Object Type is useful, it's also very limiting presentation-wise if we want different users, computers, OUs etc. to have different forms/views based on group membership or other factors, it would be nice to have this so when ACLs are enforced for various object attributes that the users don't even see what they can't read.
An example might be we want Management users to be able to view Staff's many different user attributes but we don't want Management users seeing that same number of fields for other Management users etc. At the moment, we basically have to have different Web UI's and restrict login to them to each user group and then design the forms for the lowest common denominator in terms of access to information. I also don't think simply having the fields hide automatically if a user does not have read access to it is appropriate as we've often had to reshuffle fields into different sections for those users with more simplified interfaces.
Such functionality would allow us to streamline web UI configuration and allow us to properly use Adaxes as a web based self-service directory to our AD for all our various user groups and ensure a tidier experience whilst enforcing ACLs on various attributes and objects.
