Hello,

First of all, you can configure the required display names for all properties in Adaxes: https://www.adaxes.com/help/CustomizePropertyDisplayNames.

As for the forwarding address, you can view the recipient in the Mail Flow section in the Mailbox features tab of the Exchange properties section. For the Exchange mailboxes that have the property populated in on-premises AD, you can add the property to the view form for the corresponding types of objects. The following tutorial will be helpful: https://www.adaxes.com/help/CustomizeFormsForUserCreationAndEditing.

Hi,

I am talking about the specific attribute ForwardingSmtpAddress which is set to one of our mailboxes

Here a screenshot of mailboxes and their values via PowerShell image.png

If I open this specifc mailbox in Adaxes I can see only image.png

Looking into the config, I have no possibility to add this specific attribute image.png

Even if I try to look for other forward related properties, I do not find itimage.png

Hello,

As per our check, there is no existing exchange attribute with schema name ForwardingSmtpAddress. Nost probably, that is just the way Exchange cmdlets make the output. You can check attribtue values in AD itself. Looks like that column just outputs values of the Proxy Addresses (schema name proxyAddresses) property. The only address for forwarding is exactly the only you see in the settings and it just looks to be empty for the account in question. The attribute schema name is forwardingAddress and you can check its value in AD as well.

Hi,

it seems this field is not available in AD, however in the O365 object. From my understanding, any O365 related information in Adaxes is read from the online object, no? So this information should be also visible to the object in Adaxes, otherwise it looks like to hepldesk there is no forwarding set, however it is set.

Hello,

It depends on the Exchange recipient type. Your assumption is correct for pure online recipients and for remote mailboxes.

So this information should be also visible to the object in Adaxes, otherwise it looks like to hepldesk there is no forwarding set, however it is set.

Yes, that is correct. As per our tests setting the Forward to an internal email address option in Exchange Online is properly reflected in Adaxes. For troubleshooting purposes, please, do the following:

  • Post here or send us (support@adaxes.com) a screenshot of the Multi-server environment dialog. The dialog displays how many Adaxes services you have and what their versions are. For information on how to view it, see https://www.adaxes.com/help/MultiServerEnvironment.
  • Send us (support@adaxes.com) a full copy of the Adaxes Event Log in EVTX format. For information on how to view the log, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/ServiceEventLog.
