Hello,
I am not getting email responses from support because of a technical problem. In the meantime, I figured for I would post here.
I am using the new heldesk web interface. I cannot see account details for accounts except for my own. I CAN see the account details if I log in with the same account but to the Administrator web interface.
Here is how the helpdesk interface is configured and what the user's screen looks like:

Thanks.

Hello Jason,

This happens because Adaxes Web Interface is configured to display users as containers. As a result, the Web Interface displays child objects of a user when you click them instead of the user account properties. To remedy the issue:

  1. Open Adaxes Web interface Configurator.
  2. In the top left corner, select the Help Desk Web Interface.
  3. In the left pane, click Browsing.
  4. In the Filter Options section, clear the checkbox in the Container column for the User Object type.
  5. Save the changes.

Unfortunately, that is how I had it set at first (unchecked), and I only checked it to try and fix the problem. I have the same result if that User box is checked or not. Thanks,

Hello Jason,

Are you sure you are making changes/checking the correct Web Interface? Did you clear browser cache before checking the changes in the Web Interface? Also, did you make sure that the changes are saved?

Thanks, I am sure it is the correct interface I am editing, and is in the screenshot. I did not try to clear the cache, I will try that now.
Thanks.

That does appear to be working now, thanks for your help.

We have some accounts that we would like to prevent from changing their password on login when it is expired. This is because we have saml setup on individual interface pages ... of a loophole for us as we require dual factor and use saml to accomplish this.

Hi, is it possible to use custom Powershell script to determine, who will be able to modify AD object property (for example managedBy)? So it is not manager of given object who can edit this property, but anyone who pass checks in Powershell script..

I'm lost as to why "Create User" doesn't show up. I made a new dashboard, mirroring the default Help Desk. Under Actions, I enabled Create User. On the web interface, the option to create a user is not showing. Am I missing a step?
