Hello, I have 2 questions.

1. We are in the process of migrating from one AD forest to a new AD Forest. During this migration user accounts will be copied to the new Forest, coexist for 6-9 months, then the old forest will be shut down. Can we install a new copy of Adaxes in the new forest with our existing license? The duplicate accounts will definately put us over our license count, but only for the duration of the migration.

2. We are also building a development AD environment. This will be an Isolated copy of our AD forest/domain and all objects within. We want to put a development version of Adaxes in this environment so we can test in there with out impacting production. Does our existing license cover this?

thanks.

Hello,

Can we install a new copy of Adaxes in the new forest with our existing license?

Yes, you can install a new instance of Adaxes in the new forest sharing common configuration with your existing instance of Adaxes. In this case, you will be able to use the same license key for both instances. For details, see https://www.adaxes.com/resources/releas ... lti_server.

The duplicate accounts will definately put us over our license count, but only for the duration of the migration.

You can exceed the number of enabled and not expired user accounts allowed by your license only for 30 days. After that Adaxes will stop working. To avoid this, contact our Sales Department at sales@softerra.com. They will assist you.

We want to put a development version of Adaxes in this environment so we can test in there with out impacting production. Does our existing license cover this?

It is possible to use the same license key only for instance of Adaxes that share common configuration. As long as you want to have a separate instance, you will need a separate license for it. For more details and asistance, contact our Sales Department at sales@softerra.com.
