I feel like I'm missing something that should be obvious, but is there a way to move an action to a different group in the Configure Home Page Actions window. I created an action (create user) and customized the form used for it pretty heavily (so I don't want to have to re-create it) and it's currently under the User Management group but I'd like to move it to a different group but I can't for the life of me find a way to move it.

Am I missing something obvious? How do I move an action to a different group?

Thanks

Hello,

Currently you cannot move Home Page Actions between groups using Adaxes Web Interface Customization tool. We are planning to implement this in our next release, Adaxes 2013.1.

Currently, the only way how you can move your Home Page Action to another group is to edit the Web Interface configuration file manually. As the changes need to be made are rather tricky and involve the knowledge of the internal structure of the file, I suggest that you send this file to us so that we can edit it and send the modified file back to you. To send the file to us:

  1. On the computer where your Web Interface is installed, open the folder that contains the Adaxes Web Interface site that you want to configure. By default, Adaxes Web Interface sites are installed to the following folders:

    • Administrators:
      C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\Admin\
    • Help Desk:
      C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\HelpDesk\
    • Self-Service:
      C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\SelfService\
  2. Locate the Web.config file.

  3. Attach this file to a letter and send it to our support email (adaxes@softerra.com) together with a description, which specific Home page Action should be moved and to which group.

As soon as we receive your email, we will edit the file per your requirements and send it back to you.

Starting from Adaxes 2013.1, you can move, copy, paste and drag-and-drop Home Page Actions between groups using Adaxes Web Interface Customization tool.
