Starting with version 2020.1 there is a possibility to create rule-based groups in Adaxes. For details, have a look at section Rule-based groups of the following tutorial: https://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_AutomatingDailyTasks_AddUsersToGroupsByDepartment.htm#dynamicgroups.

Has there been any advancements in this endeavor? I would like the ability for Adaxes to manage Exchange dynamic DL's, as well.

Hello,

No, currently not. This request is still in our TODO list. For the nearest release, we are going to concentrate on the new look and feel of Adaxes Web Interface and a completely new Web Interface engine. Also, we are going to completely rework the Reports subsystem to allow custom and scheduled reports and many other long-awaited features. There's really a lot of work to do, so, most probably, we won't be able to squeeze dynamic distribution groups in the upcoming release.

We have the feature in our roadmap and it will be implemented in the next major release that should be available by spring.

Update "Dynamic" Distribution Group Membership

Is it possible with Adaxes to update a distribution groups membership based on the users in an OU? I know this is exactly what a dynamic distribution group is for, but for certain reasons I need this to be a normal distribution group not dynamic.

Dynamic group for O365 licenses

Hi, I am looking for a solution to create dynamic groups, based on users assigned O365 licenses. For example everyone having Co-Pilot assigned, shout be part of a group ... available. We have about 12k objects with remote user or shared mailbox to be checked.

Export member list from dynamic group

How do I go about getting an export of users that are assigned to a particular dynamic group? The existing export rules don't seem to do the trick. It only pulls info ... the dynamic group, i would like to also report on those that have been licensed for O365

Best Way to "Create New Distribution Group"

It seems like at one point this may have been a unique action? I seem to only be able to create an AD group then mail enable it after. Is there any way to do it in a single action?
