Hi - I'm looking for input on the best practice for deploying Adaxes components in our enviro - Specifically I wanted to see if there were any issues installing it on our domain controller. We have two DCs.

I'm considering installing all components on one of the DCs but don't wanna impact the DC adversely. Or do folks suggest installing just the service on the DC and other components on another server ?

thoughts ?

thanks

Hello,

Actually, Adaxes and all of its components (including Adaxes service) can be installed on any computer joined to your AD, it does not necessarily need to be a DC. Moreover, it is generally not recommended to install software on a DC.

Thus, the best option would be to install Adaxes on a computer running a Server edition of Windows, which is not a DC.

I am unsure how to deal with this because of how Adaxes treats one identity account as two different objects, an AD and AzureAD user account, and both has different last logon values. What is a good way to combine the data?
