Hello,

When i'm trying to get exchange information on the adaxes site, it got the following error message:

"The input object cannot be bound to any parameters for the command either because the command does not take pipeline input or the input and its properties do not match any of the parameters that take pipeline input."

When i'm looking the Event ID on Adaxes Server, i got the following message error:

Hello,

This error occurs because the account with the credentials of which you registered the domain in Adaxes does not have sufficient permissions to run Exchange management cmdlets.

To resolve the issue, you need to assign the account to an Exchange Management Role. For more details, see
Understanding Management Roles.

We recommend assigning the service account to the Organization Management role group in Exchange. This role group provides administrative access to the entire Exchange 2013 organization and can perform almost any task.

If, for some reason, you do not want to provide the account administrative access to your Exchange organization, you need to assign the account to the following role groups in Exchange:

Hello,

Thanks for quick response...

But it's still not working.

Is it maybe because the service "Adaxes backend" were starting under "NetworkService"
Or Because of the Exchange management Tools installation on the Adaxes Server?

Notice:

When I open Exchange Management Shell on the Adaxes Server, I got all the user information I want from our MailServer...

Is it possible that Adaxes try to access to the false server?

Hello,

No, these are not the reasons why the issue occurred.

To help us troubleshoot the issue, can you enable PowerShell tracing in Adaxes and send the trace file to us for investigation? To do this:

  1. Open the folder that your Adaxes service is installed to, which is C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Service\ by default.
  2. Locate the file named Softerra.Adaxes.Service.exe.Config and open it with any text editor.
  3. Find the following line:
    <trace enabled="false"/>
  4. Change false to true.
  5. Save the file.
  6. Restart Adaxes service.
  7. Try performing the same operation that you did when you got the error message.
  8. Change true back to false (this will stop growing of the trace file as it can grow to enormous sizes).
  9. Restart Adaxes service again for changes to take effect.
  10. When tracing is enabled, Adaxes outputs messages from all PowerShell commands to a file named exchange.powershell.trace.txt located in the the folder that your Adaxes service is installed to. Send the file to support[at]adaxes.com.

I am using an account with global admin permissions to o365, so it does not appear to be that as the issue. Adaxes V.2017.2 Trace logs showing the following [11/02/2022 11:24:58] ... at #2e.#Vh.#h8() at #eb.#Wb.#j8() at #2e.#Uh.Execute(#ib command) Any ideas?

Topic question, we are looking into AD Auditing and I would like to know if this solution is on-prem. And I would like to know if there is a built in report to see ... to access folders they do not have permissions to, is this something I can do with Adaxes?
