Hi everyone, we're getting the below error when enabling a user for Lync:

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot process the request. The following error occurred while using Kerberos authentication: Cannot find the computer ********************************. Verify that the computer exists on the network and that the name provided is spelled correctly. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

When logged into the server as the Adaxes service account, I can open the Lync console and issue commands to the Lync pool just fine. I did notice however, that it takes some time for the Lync console to fully open and present me the command prompt.

We're using the 'out of the box' Lync enablement feature. Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks again!

There was a similar issue in Adaxes 2013.1 (build 3.5.9329.0), but it was fixed in later releases. Try upgrading to the latest version. You can download it here.

What specifically was the underlying cause of the issue that was resolved in the newest release? (I'd like to document it in our change management system.)

Thanks!

Hello,

The cause for the issue was that Adaxes used a wrong authentication mechanism when establishing a remote PowerShell session to a Lync Server. Previously, Adaxes used the Kerberos authentication mechanism, now the NegotiateWithImplicitCredential option is used.

Is it possible to provision Lync access to users through group membership? For example, let's say we don't want to provide Lync to all users so we have a security group ... when they are added to that group and disable it if they are removed from the group?
