Hi,

We've recently started seeing users get 'Unable to connect to nearest Adaxes service' errors when accessing the Adaxes web portal.

It's far too vague\random to have an idea what the cause is yet - are there any specific logs\things to verify that you can recommend so we can start getting a handle on why this is happening?

Note: I upgraded to the latest version last night to see if that fixed it, but we have had the issue again today.

Could you track at least a couple of events that can trigger this message to appear? What operation(s) do they perform when the message appears?

Also, take a look at Adaxes Event Log for any errors or warnings that can be related to the issue. For information on how to view the log, see the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?ServiceAdmi ... ntLog.html.

FYI We implemented the same change as noted in this similar thread:-

LDAP unavailable

and, so far, have not had a repeat. Fingers crossed this has fixed it - though not 100% sure why this suddenly started occuring - maybe a recent MS patch.

Hello,

As mentioned in the post that you referred to, the computer where the Web Interface is installed can fail to login to AD with its own credentials. It was one of the possible reasons for the issue that you experienced, so if the solution provided in the post fixed it, then most probably you eliminated the cause for the error.
