Hi,
I'm going to upgrade my Adaxes, but I want to preserve all of my changes to Security Roles and Business Rules. If I back up and then restore the configuration will my changes be applied in the new version?

That's exactly what you need to do! With the help of configuration backup-restore you will preserve all your changes to the Adaxes service configuration, including Security Roles, Business Rules, Property Patterns, Custom Commands, etc. By the way, if you want to preserve your Web Interface customization, you will need to back up-restore the Web Interface too.

See the detailed description in Upgrade Instructions.
