Hello,

We create home folders using custom command:

Adaxes home folder 01.jpg

Service account to perform operations within the domain has:

a) domain admin rights b) server admin rights

adaxes service account.jpg

On the server where home folders are the Service account belongs to Local adminstrator group (+domain group server admins are also belong to servers Local admins).

Folder containing home folders access rights include Service account: Service account has Full Access.

Still we get this error when custom command is used:

Failed to designate the user as the directory owner, however the user was granted the Take Ownership permission.

Hello,

Most probably the issue is not related to Adaxes itself but rather to the permissions of the account used to manage the domain. Also, if a security/protection software is used, it might block the operation. You can check the behavior bypassing the Adaxes service by signing in to the file server using the same credentials as the ones specified for the managed domain in Adaxes and creating the same folder manually.
