We are looking to create a dashboard that has read only capabilities. We want some IT users they are working support functions to be able to check AD data without the ability to modify any data. Is this pre-built or do you have instructions on achieving this?

We have worked it out on our own. The interface is pretty intuitive for self teaching. Thank you.

Hello,

There is no possibility to achieve what you want by creating a new Web Interface. You will need to grant the IT users permissions to Read all properties of All object types. By default such permissions are granted by Domain User Built-in Security Role. If you want to create a separate Security Role for the IT users, check the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?ManageSecur ... iting.html.

You can create a new Web Interface for the IT Users and configure its Forms and Views to display all the required properties.
To create a new Web Interface do the following:

  1. Launch Adaxes Web Interface Customization tool.
  2. Expand the Interface type drop-down list and click New.
  3. Enter the name for the new Web Interface, select an existing Web Interface to copy properties from and click OK.
  4. Once the Web Interface is created configure its Forms and Views. For information on how to do so, check the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?HowDoI.Conf ... iting.html.
  5. To grant access to the new Web Interface only for IT users check the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?HowDoI.Conf ... ccess.html.

Is there a way to configure the module "Member of" in a "View user"-action as purely read only? As it stands now we are able to navigate to a seperate viewing page ... needs write-access to AD, we can't specify purely read-rights via the security role either.
