I am trying to trigger processing outside of Active Directory when an account is created based on the source user account that was used. Does Adaxes store the source account anywhere?

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no such possibility as the source account is not stored/preserved anywhere. As an option, you can populate a DN syntax property (e.g. CustomAttributeObject1) with the source account on the creation form and then obtain the account from the property in your business rule.

Is there a way to populate this creation form value automatically from the previously selected object that is being copied? I'd really like to not ask the user to pick the same value twice.

Hello,

You can preliminarily set the corresponding property of all template users to their own accounts. Meaning that it has to be done before copying. Unfortunately, there is no other way.
