Exchange properties

Question

We are looking to implement a new Retention Policy across the company. When i go into a user and select Exchange properties, Retention policy they are all listed to select the proper one. However when i go into the console and try and create a custom command to add it automatically when creating a mailbox, i get NO policies listed see below. Please advise.

What version of Adaxes are you currently using? To check that, do the following:

1. Launch Adaxes Administration Console.
2. Right-click your service.
3. Click Properties in the context menu.
   
4. Adaxes version is displayed on the General tab.
   

What version of Exchange are you using?

Could you provide us with a screenshot where you can see Retention policies?

To help us troubleshooting the issue further, can you provide the following information:

• Do you have a single instance of Adaxes Service or multiple instances replicating with each other?

• If you have multiple instances, do the following:

  1. Launch Adaxes Administration Console.
  2. Connect to one of the service instances.
  3. Create a Custom Command and try adding an action that assigns a Retention Policy. Are the available policies listed?
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for all the remaining service instances. Are the policies listed on any of them?

We only have one instance of Adaxes. I did create a separate custom command and still get nothing listed in the custom command.

Can you do the following then:

1. Enable tracing of commands sent to Exchange Servers. How.
2. Try creating a Custom Commands that assigns Retention Policies and make sure that the issue persists.
3. Try assigning a Retention Policy manually via the Web Interface and make sure that the policy list is populated.
4. Check the Exchange trace log for any errors / warnings.

We've managed to reproduce the issue in our environment. A fix for the issue will be available in the nearest release of Adaxes.
