Hey, i'm trying to install Adaxes one a new server for our multi-server-environment. The new Server is Windows Server 2025, but it always fails with the following error:

Any ideas on that as the Microsoft link wasn't a help at all? The other server in our environment where Server 2019.

Thanks and best regards Markus

Hello Markus,

Unfortunately, the behavior is expected. If you have Windows Server 2025 OS, all the servers where Adaxes service runs must be of the same version.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it possible to use the Adaxes Backup/Restore (https://www.adaxes.com/help/BackupRestoreConfiguration/) and create a new multi-server-envoirnment? And then switch over to that new "cluster" later on?

Something that must be backuped seperatly or will be everything recovered?

Yes, it should work just fine.

The only thing that will not be backed up is your license key. You will need to active it after restoring the backup: https://www.adaxes.com/help/ActivateLicenseKey.

Is this possible? We have a potential use case where we want to "natively" query AD using LDAP, but want to be able to leverage custom attributes\data in Adaxes, ... we can query the LDS instance and access both native and custom attributes etc. Many Thanks

I'm looking for installation/configuration manuals to determine the installation requirements (prerequisites) for Adaxes. I'd like to install this on two vmware virtual servers running Windows ... ready for the install so I don't waste any of the trial time.
