The built in functionality to convert exchange online mailboxes to shared does not work for users that are synced from our local AD via Azure AD connect.

How can we over come this? I am not finding much information on converting a synced with ad users to In cloud without deleting the user or moving it to a non synced OU in AD. That is a sloppy solution and I haven't found a way to accomplish that in Adaxes so it can be converted.

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe something with powershell? If we could convert the account to in cloud from synced with AD all our issues with this would be resolved.

This is the only way that I have found to do accomplish this and is a function of Azure, not Adaxes. I'll be curious to see if anyone has any alternative suggestions.
