We're looking at enabling the Lync support in Adaxes, but current it cannot find the pool\registrar servers etc.

I assume this is related to missing privileges (we don't run with Domain Admin rights); do you have a list of the minimum rights required?

Thanks

Hello,

To remedy the issue, you need to grant the user, whose username and password were used to register the domain with Lync in Adaxes, appropriate permissions. For more information, take a look at the following article by Microsoft: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 25917.aspx.

Thanks for this, but am not 100% sure what we should be checking.

The Adaxes service account is registered in Lync\AD to manage Lync settings (e.g. we can use the remote PS session script method to enable\disable Lync mailboxes), but we cannot enumerate the pool data etc.

Are you saying that we need to grant the service account additional Lync privileges (which would make sense as you pointed me to a Lync permissions FAQ), or something else?

It's the 'registering the domain with Lync in Adaxes' bit that's confusing!

It's not a big deal as, as intimated, I can use the remote PS option, and as we have more tasks than just enabling\disabling accounts that require this method anyway.

Cheers

Yes, we mean Lync privileges. If you register a domain with Lync in Adaxes, the credentials that you used when registering the domain will be used to perform operations in Lync, and thus the account that you specified should have sufficient permissions.

Hi- When I attempt to set this up, in my drop box, I have "no pools found" and is unable to enter the pool. Why can't I enter the pool or what has to happen in order for Adaxes to see that we have pools available?
