Adaxes seems to want to use the Manager field to specify who gets approval confirmation emails. What do you do about a user without a manager, such as the CEO? Let's assume they're not tech saavy, and the IT department needs to confirm their requests.

Hello Liam,

When submitting an operation for approval, there are multiple options to select approvers (e.g. Manager of the requestor, Manager of the user, etc.). Neither of the options is required, you can choose any of them or select specific approvers (users or group members). For details, have a look at step 4 the following tutorial: https://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_DelegatingPermissions_RequestApprovalForUserCreation.htm.
