Change session idle lifetime

Session idle lifetime specifies how long a user remains signed in after they close the Web interface page in their browser. By default, the lifetime is set to 30 minutes. To change the session idle lifetime:

  1. Open Adaxes Web interface configurator.

     How
    • On the computer, where Adaxes Web interface configurator is installed, open Windows Start menu.

    • Type Adaxes Web interface configurator.

    • Press Enter.

  2. In the top left corner, select the Web interface you want to customize.

  3. In the left navigation menu, click Advanced.

    If the left navigation menu is not displayed, click the icon in the top left corner.

  4. In the Advanced section, select Authentication session idle lifetime (minutes) in the drop-down list.

  5. Specify the session idle lifetime.

  6. Save the changes.

    To apply the changes to other Web interfaces, click the down arrow button next to the parameter value and then click Apply to other Web interfaces.

Forced idle session sign out

You can also configure Adaxes to forcefully sign out users if they don't interact with the Web interface page for a specified period of time, even if the page is still open in their browser. By default, this setting is disabled. To enable it:

  1. Open Adaxes Web interface configurator.

     How
    • On the computer, where Adaxes Web interface configurator is installed, open Windows Start menu.

    • Type Adaxes Web interface configurator.

    • Press Enter.

  2. In the top left corner, select the Web interface you want to customize.

  3. In the left navigation menu, click Sign in.

  4. In the Sign in section, enable the Idle session sign out checkbox and select the desired timeout in the drop-down list.

  5. Save the changes.

    To apply the changes to other Web interfaces, click the down arrow button in the top right corner of the section and then click Apply to other Web interfaces.
